wake up call

something's been bugging me since the start of this week. lets call him 'X'. he's my new colleague. at 17, he is the typical picture of pre-army adolescence: jittery, mumbles and has to ask about every damn instruction that my boss gives us. and normally he asks me. why? i have no idea. that really really bugs me.

'uh, 'x' go settle these users.'
'uh, where are they, boss?'
'i dunno, go ard and ask someone la...'
'hey daniel, where're these users ah?'
...... all 3 of us were there only from the start of the week... like duh man....sigh

then it occured to me that i might have, in fact, been somewhat like that when i was younger (maybe even now).
this is the mental process:
  1. u have to get something done.
  2. it ain't easy and/or something in you really doesn't wanna invest the effort
  3. u ignore the obvious, logical (and maybe only) course of action
  4. you ask around for help/suggestions, but deep inside u noe wat has to be done
  5. task gets delayed, at best
so get off your damn butt daniel, and don't let sloth drag you down
